Horseshoes is always free to try.  You are welcome to come back several times to see if it’s for you. Our club survives on building our membership numbers so if you like playing we hope you’ll want to become a member for a nominal fee. 

We have lots of horseshoes for you to practice with. If you decide you want to join, we have horseshoes for sale with several different weights for you to choose from, all priced under $100. Most members decide they would like to have their own set once they join.

You’ll probably find that you want to play when the club is not open and it’s always handy to have your own set of horseshoes, like when you’re on a road trip. There are lots of horseshoe clubs throughout BC and all of North America. 

Single members pay $30 per year and couples pay $50.  A portion of this fee $22, goes to the BC Horseshoe Association to cover player insurance costs.  Tournament entry fees are between $15 and $25 per event. There are prizes to be won at tournaments. You are not required to play in tournaments, but you may find it hard not to compete as you improve.  

Not at all, playing is strictly on an as you wish basis. You can play once a week or once a month it’s completely up to you. 

Our club is run by volunteers, members just like you. We show up, set up and help out when and where we can. Everyone has different strengths and areas of participation. You do what works for you. 

Yes, kids 8 and older are free to join until age 16. we have  a Smeeth Youth League that is run by club member volunteers and is generously funded by a benefactor. The league plays every Saturday at 12:30 and runs from April through September.
